[4K/Binaural] Tokyo rain Walk,Walking in the Shinjuku Gyoen National Park [Virtual Walking Tour]

Virtual Walking tour route in Shinjuku Gyoen National Park

We walked around Shinjuku Gyoen, a national park, while it was raining a little. Shinjuku Gyoen is one of Tokyo's most famous parks, located near Shinjuku Station and boasting a vast area. It is crowded with families and couples. There is a Starbucks in Shinjuku Gyoen, a rare Starbucks that you can only visit if you pay the entrance fee to Shinjuku Gyoen. The design of the store is also appropriate for Shinjuku Gyoen.

What is Shinjuku Gyoen National Park?

Shinjuku Gyoen is said to have its roots in a daimyo's mansion that was given to Kiyonari Naito, a vassal of Ieyasu Tokugawa, in the Edo period (1603-1868). After the Meiji Restoration, a state-run agricultural experiment station was established, and after serving as the Imperial Household Ministry's imperial estate, the garden was established as an imperial garden in 1906.

It developed as a palace garden for international diplomacy and was opened to the public as a national park in 1949.

Designed by a French landscape architect, the garden skillfully combines a European-style shaped garden, a landscape garden, and a Japanese garden, making it a representative modern Western garden of the Meiji era and one of the few masterpieces of landscape gardens in Japan.
